Healey Disc is a full service optical media company serving the corporate, audio, marketing and film industries since 1994 and resides in an 11,000 sq. ft. facility in Ottawa Canada.

Digital Transfer System

We have a unique Digital Transfer process for printing on CD/DVD, which prints a photographic quality 600 DPI image. The marketing possibilities of this new technology are unlimited, and being one of the first to acquire this technology in North America, it gives us a distinct advantage and market positioning. The main advantages of this new system over the traditional silk screen manufacturing process are: 1. Each disc can have a different image (variable print), which allows for each disc to be serialized or personalized. This has many applications, which have previously been impossible, and opens up many new sales opportunities. These include personalized discs for direct marketing, very cost effective personalized prospectuses, reports and statements which are traditionally done on paper, scratch and win disc, and the ability to supply customers with a stunning photographic quality product at the same price as a traditional silk screened disc. 2. The images are 600 DPI photographic quality, and are the highest quality currently available in the industry. 3. A substantial cost advantage on smaller runs under 1000 units, and much faster turn time. 4. 10,000 units per shift capacity.

Packaging

Healey Disc does all cd packaging in house. This includes jewel boxing, automated booklet and traycard insertions, over wrapping or shrink-wrapping, assembly, labeling, boxing etc.

Duplication

We do CD and DVD duplication using the highest quality media and burning equipment. We are one of the only companies capable of doing variable data burning and matching the data to variable print disc. This means that every disc can have a unique label, say a name and password for instance, and the data on the disc can be customized for that person.

Digital Paper Printing

Healey also has in-house digital paper printing for small run folders and covers for CD’s and DVD’s. In addition it has cutting, folding and stapling capabilities. This often fills the gap needed for smaller projects and allows for far greater margin.

Graphic Design

Healey Disc’s affiliated design company named Fusebrain, is located at our facility, and employs talented young graphic designers, that handle web design, multimedia design, CD and DVD packaging graphics etc, and also includes plate film outputting. The operation is turnkey, and has all the high end equipment necessary to do it all in house.

Turnaround Time

Replication companies normal have an 8 to 15 day normal turnaround time, depending on how busy they are. Replicators routinely put larger runs and more “important” client’s work ahead of smaller clients and smaller orders. This can result in turn around times for your project in excess of 15 business days, especially in the busy season. Healey can print and duplicate your bulk CDR’s/DVDR’s and ship out for you in only 4 business days, and you DONOT PAY EXTRA for the digital print! (your approved artwork file must be in our system before 9:30 AM on Day 0, and your order will ship out on day 4) Note: this is for bulk discs only, packaging will increase this time.

Variable Print and Data

We can print each disc with a different name, number, image or all three! There is no film, registration or color problems, you simply upload your file to us. We also do variable data, so each disc can have different content burned on to it, which matches to image on the disc.

Short Run Pricing and Quality

Our pricing on under 1000 unit runs is much better than replicators, has a much faster turnaround time, and the photographic quality Digital Transfer printing is included at no extra cost, and is excellent for indie cds. Please check out our price list!

Canadian Resellers
